I am so excited about this cover. It does a beautiful job of conveying the flavor of HARBOR FOR THE NIGHTINGALE and I love Maya’s pose in it. She’s so amazing. I hope you will fall in love with her as much as I have.
Oh how I wish I had her remarkable gift of hearing the world rather than simple seeing it. Writing from her perspective has been illuminating to say the least, and quite challenging.
In Maya’s own words:
All the world is sound. Even if I were blind, I would still be able to see. It is as if everything hums—the trees, the air, stones, and people—especially people. They all sing songs.
